NON- DESTRUCTIVE DIGGING
Often also called Hydro Excavation or Vacuum Excavation, Non-Destructive Digging (NDD) is an environmentally and non destructive excavation process. It is precise and uses pressurized water to mobilize soil, combined with an industrial strength vacuums to simultaneously excavate and evacuate soil with minimal environmental impact. Non-Destructive Digging delivers safer working conditions and in many situations eliminates risk of damage to underground assets that traditional mechanical excavation methods carry. The below ground infrastructure includes but is not limited to Power, Gas, Communications, Water, Storm Water and Sewer. NDD is also very useful when excavation is required around trees as it reduces the impact or tree root systems.
Benefits of Non Destructive Digging include
- Reduces the risk of damage to below ground assets and the great costs that come with repair to such assets.
- Reduces risk of injury to workers incurred by asset strikes, manual labour and traditional excavation machinery
- Reduces risks to trees, plants and other vegetation
- Produces more precises excavations
- Reduces risk of contaminated soil spills.
- Enables excavation of areas difficult to access such as, behind retaining walls, under low hanging bridges or buildings and beneath existing assets in the ground.
Our team are experts in Non-Destructive Digging and are ready to tackle all your NDD projects.
